Canada initiates WTO dispute complaint on U.S. steel, aluminium duties

Following the imposition of U.S. tariffs, Canada formally requested WTO dispute consultations over the duties on Canadian steel and aluminum imports, arguing that the abrupt removal of Canada’s exemption violated U.S. commitments under GATT 1994.
